Planned and unplanned power cuts right now, from the distribution networks that publish a live feed. Refreshed every five minutes. A cut near a site is a reliability signal, not a measure of spare capacity.

No outages match.
The same outages are on the UK grid capacity map as the “Live outages” layer, and any substation with an outage within 8 km shows a warning.
Every outage a network lists on its own live feed, with the number of customers affected and the network’s estimate of when supply is restored. Estimates move as engineers reach site, and a network’s own count of “customers” may be an estimate until it confirms.
SSEN Distribution, UK Power Networks and Northern Powergrid publish open feeds and are included. SP Energy Networks, NGED and Electricity North West are marked on the page when they are not connected, with the reason. Those three together cover seven of Britain’s fourteen licence areas, so a quiet map there means no data, not no outages.
Postcodes are cut to the district (for example IV27) before they reach this page; full postcodes, message text and customer contact fields are not stored. Restored UK Power Networks incidents are dropped. Planned means scheduled work (SSEN’s PSI, UK Power Networks’ and Northern Powergrid’s planned work); everything else is shown as unplanned.
Near real time, not a record: resolved faults drop off and no history is kept here. Feeds differ in how they count customers and in how quickly they update.
